Invitation to the Disability Action Plan workshops

odi

The Office for Disability Issues and the Disabled Peoples’ Organisations Coalition are holding workshops to gather your ideas about what should be in the new Disability Action Plan 2019‒2022.

The Disability Action Plan will document the government’s commitments for the next four years to implement the New Zealand Disability Strategy.

To gather your views, they are running a series of workshops building on regional meetings held in 2018 by Hon Carmel Sepuloni, Minister for Disability Issues.

ODI and the DPOs would love to visit each and every region, however their time and resources are limited.

If you decide not to attend a workshop please tell them your views they also invite you to feedback by text, video or using their online feedback tool. If you would like them to phone you, book a time by phoning or texting them on 029 495 0010.

Go to www.odi.govt.nz/whats-happening/disability-action-plan-2019-2022-feedback-workshops/ for more details on the ways you can be involved and an updated list of workshops.

Alternatively, ODI has made an accessible online consultation tool available to gather your ideas about the Disability Action Plan at https://dap-workshop.odi.govt.nz.
